DORMAA EAST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY COMMISSONS HEALTH CENTER AT ASOUTIANO
The District Chief Executive of Dormaa East Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, has on Thursday October 3, 2024 commissioned and handed over a newly constructed health center at Asuotiano in the District to the Ghana Health Service to ensure quality healthcare delivery to the people in and around the catchment area.
The facility which was funded by the District Assembly contains an outpatient department, consulting and emergency rooms, a pharmacy, male, female and childrenโs wards, a lying in, laboratory, stores, among others.
In a remark at the commissioning ceremony, the DCE who outlined several projects and benefits the people of Asuotiano and environs have gained under this current government, reiterated the importance to keep New Patriotic Party in power.
He however called on them to own the facility by patronizing it and ensure its maintenance.
He added that the facility was given to them because they asked repeatedly for it irrespective of the nearness of others.
The DCE sought the support of the community for the staff and their activities to make the center vibrant.
The Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Hon Paul Apraku Twum Barima who pledged to donate one motorbike to aid the services of the health center also underscored why the New Patriotic Party should be maintained.
He expressed his appreciation to the health staff for accepting to come and work in the community and in the District; pleading that they render services out of patience and love to promote healthcare delivery in the area.
The District Health Director, Madam Agnes Asiedu, expressed her appreciation to both government ment and Nanom for the health center and the motorbike. She promised more staff would be added to the present ones to keep the facility running for 24 hours.
She however appalled to government for additional resources and accommodation for the staff to ensure that healthcare services are really accessible to the people.
