DCE Inspects Ongoing Renovation Works at Dormaa-Akwamu Health Centre

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Osei Owusu King with his entourage recently visited the Dormaa-Akwamu Health Centre as part of a broader tour to assess ongoing development projects in the area. During the visit, the DCE and accompanying team inspected the significant renovation works currently underway at the health centre.

The renovation project includes a range of improvements, such as tiling, painting of the entire building, installation of ceilings, conversion of the garage into a weighing area, and upgrading of washroom facilities. These works are aimed at enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

The Officer-in-Charge of the health centre briefed the DCE on the progress of the renovation works and highlighted some of the challenges being faced. Despite the progress, the health centre is still grappling with a few issues, including a lack of water at the staff bungalow, outdated wiring that recently caused a near fire outbreak, and high electricity consumption due to the old electrical system.

The DCE assured the health centre’s administration of support in addressing these challenges and emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the community. The visit underscored the Assembly’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring the well-being of residents in the district.
