DEDA OUTDOORS ITS SHARE OF DRIP TOOLS
Former District Chief Executive and Gyasihene of Mansen Traditional Area of Dormaa East, Nana Deamono Asamoah Kokoti Kumi, has praised the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) as an unprecedented initiative in the history of Ghana. He urged the people in his jurisdiction to work hard to support the Nana Addo-Bawumia-led government for further development of the country.
The call was made during the unveiling of the DRIP equipment by the Dormaa East District Assembly (DEDA) in a brief ceremony at the Assembly’s forecourt on Monday, September 2, 2024.
The equipment, which is currently undergoing testing, is expected to commence work possibly this week once certified by the regional road engineer trained to handle the technicalities involved.
The equipment includes a Backhoe, Tipper Truck, Roller, Grader, two concrete mixers, and a water tanker, which is yet to be received.
During the event, all four Divisional chiefs of the District expressed their appreciation and support for the government’s initiation of the DRIP. They also provided cautionary advice to ensure the sustained success of the programme.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, emphasized the employment opportunities created by the programme and reiterated that the initiative is part of the NPP government’s deliberate effort to improve road infrastructure and contribute to the economic growth of the country through the development of local assemblies.

As part of the government’s digitized project, a tracking system has been implemented to monitor the usage and maintenance of the machines. Additionally, He announced that 1 million Ghana Cedis is yet to be received as part of the road improvement package.
