Involving community members in social development is gradually gaining grounds in Dormaa East District as an initiative to meeting the increasing demands to societal needs.
Following the fact that the Assembly is over burdened with growing demands of social- economic needs and infrastructure, coupled with limited resources, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman by his good examples has won the hearts of many people who are willingly to give their human and material resources in support of development.
In the pictures is the DCE in the blue attire at the right hand of the lady in wine (lady Kadijah, Assembly Woman for Kyeremasu) appreciating and encouraging men at work on the Subinkrom public pit latrine for their dedication and willingness.
He who is usually part of such self-help projects was engaged on something else but however squeezed time out of his schedule to visit the workers, give them some water and also give out the districts contribution to make the project complete.
The Dormaa East District Assembly through the able leadership of the DCE, Hon. Kofi Agyeman, has through the Self-Help Initiative achieved several Projects in the area of Health, Education, Social-economic as well as other infrastructure.
The DCE has through such initiatives earned the name βAdwoma wuraβ, meaning owner of work.
