As part of the measures to consolidate the gains made in the implementation of Government Flagship programmes, the Deputy Minister for Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development (LGDRD), Hon. Collins Ntim paid a working visit to the Dormaa East District Assembly on Monday, 24th October, 2022 at Wamfie, the Assembly conference Hall.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hon. Collins Ntim in his address explained that the visit among other things was to access how the Government Flagship Programmes introduced to the various MMDAs to improve the lives of its citizenry was implemented and its success.<\/div>\n

In the meeting with Nananom, Hon. Assembly Members and the staff of the Assembly, the district chief executive Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman made a presentation on the government flagship programmes and the achievement’s of the district so far.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Hon.Kofi Agyeman said the Assembly is executing a number of projects in order to improve the living conditions of the people.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
He stated this when he outlined a number of achievements chalked up by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) since his appointment as DCE for Dormaa East District.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The projects include: reshaping of roads, construction of 36.5km road from Wamfie-Adiemmra to Yawsae, construction of classroom blocks, improvement in health facilities, provision of water, among others.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In his presentations, he mentioned the ongoing construction of a police post at Kyenkyenase, district police Bangalore, construction of Health center at Asuotiano, extension of electricity and many others.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In education, he mentioned construction of science lab and administration block for Islamic SHS and many other facilities for Mansen SHS and Wamanafo SecTech. These are all geared towards addressing some of the development needs of the people.<\/div>\n

Hon. Ntim applauded the DCE and staff members for their wonderful performance and promised to facilitate the quick release of funds allocated for the Assembly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He further charged all and sundry to join shoulders to spur head the economic development of the District Assembly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
As part of his address, the Deputy Minister said Governments all over the world were experiencing recession of greater magnitude of which Ghana was no exception. He said the Country\u2019s situation was not due to mismanagement but rather the COVID 19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war which had left it economic woes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He added that, however, the NPP Government had put measures in place to overcome those predicaments and it included employing the youth into various government programs to reduce the unemployment challenges.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
He commended the staff for their selfless service to the District and the nation, and further entreated them to work assiduously to achieve the government dream of making Ghana a better place for all.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
