The Dormaa East District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman on 18th September 2022 began a 21 days electoral Area Tour to the electoral areas within the district assembly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On these visits, he socialize and interacts with chiefs and people,<\/div>\n
as well as monitor ongoing projects and to identify key issues in the various electoral areas to see how best to address them.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
His tours which are in accordance with his commitment to pay yearly visits to each of the 21 electoral areas of the district have so far taken him to 16 electoral areas and 65 communities such as Mewereferiwuo, Kyenkyenase, Asuhyiae, Akontanim, Wamfie, Dormaa Akwamu, Amanfe etc.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Especially at a time when many people are complaining about economic difficulties, why is the district chief executive seemingly restless in visiting various parts of the district?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In an interaction with the people,<\/div>\n
he reiterated to them his reasons for these tours. First, they give him an opportunity to touch base and get a firsthand appreciation of the challenges many people are going through. The tours also give him an opportunity to see for himself the progress of work on the ground and feedback it into the programmes and projects that are being executed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Most importantly, the district chief executive said now is the most critical time when members of communities must come together to initiate self-help projects to partner government to achieve a faster pace of development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On the tour, the DCE inspected the ongoing construction of the kyenkyenase police post, GIFEC telephone masks across the districts, Chip compounds, schools, construction of Mansen-Adeambra road, District Police Bangalore at Wamfie and many others.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In address to the chiefs and the people , he argued the importance of this tour is to also enable the district assembly to make informed decisions ahead of 2023 budget planning period.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Emmanuel Hinneh, District director for National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) , Mr. Samuel A. Salam of the Planning Department, Mr. John Tawiah district statistician, Francis Koduah of the Administration Department, Mr. Calvin Ntim of the budget unit, Philip Kudjoe (works department) and District Information Technology Technician Mr. Reindolph Afrifa-Oware, Assembly members and other political aids who enables a smooth running of the entire public engagements.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
